Membership at FCF is for those who profess Jesus Christ as Savior, follow Him as their Lord, and desire to commit themselves to the fellowship and ministry of Faith Christian Fellowship. If you regularly attend FCF, we encourage you to consider membership as a demonstration of your commitment to the authority of Jesus Christ as a member of His body (Ephesians 4:15-16, Romans 12:5).
Church membership is required for all who would like to serve in ministry leadership, including community group facilitators. We offer Associate Membership to those (such as students) who are living in the Baltimore area only temporarily and who wish to maintain their membership with their home church. Associate members have all the rights and privileges of this church, with the exception of voting in congregational meetings and holding an office at FCF.
Those who have never been baptized will be baptized at the time of their membership vows.
To become a church member:
1. Attend a Discovery Lunch, offered quarterly (see the Church Calendar for specific dates), where you will get a brief introduction to FCF's pastors, history, mission, vision, and values.
2. Email the church office at fcfoffice@fcfchurch.org to set up an interview with an elder. Interviews are usually scheduled for 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings, between the services. Following your interview, the elder will discuss your candidacy with the rest of the Session and make a recommendation for membership. The church office will contact you once you are approved for membership.
3. After you are approved for membership, contact the church office to schedule a date to be presented before the congregation as a new member. New members normally join the church on the second Sunday of the month.
