Spiritual Formation

The Spiritual Formation Ministry at Faith Christian Fellowship desires to see our church transformed by the healing power of the gospel. As trained counselors committed to Christian perspectives on emotional and spiritual health, we align with the mission of the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF) to "restore Christ to counseling, and counseling to the church."

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing but let us encourage one another—and all the more as we see the day approaching.

Hebrews 10:23-25

Our ministry exists to provide wise, biblical counsel to members in need. We offer:

  • One-on-One Counseling: Personal sessions with a trained counselor to address personal problems, emotional concerns, and everyday challenges.

  • Staff Support: Direct support to pastoral and ministry staff with counseling and shepherding matters.

  • Group Classes & Seminars: Interactive teaching on human psychology and spirituality from a Scriptural perspective, providing biblical solutions for repairing broken souls and relationships.

  • Lay-Counseling Training: In-depth training that equips church leaders to respond to the needs of others with biblical wisdom.

The Spiritual Formation Ministry is directed by Kim Sutter, who serves as a part-time pastoral counselor on the FCF staff, and provides up to five hours per week of crisis intervention and short-term counseling for FCF members to discuss any personal or spiritual issue.

Please note: FCF does not provide clinical mental health treatment, but rather care for the soul and help in applying the gospel to daily life.

If you are a member of FCF, you can meet with Kim, and your first counseling session is free! Follow-up sessions are available at a discounted rate, and financial assistance is available.
