“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing but let us encourage one another—and all the more as we see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:23–25
The Spiritual Formation ministry at Faith Christian Fellowship desires to see the church transformed by the healing power of the gospel. We provide:
- One-on-one sessions with a trained counselor to address personal problems and concerns
- Assistance to the pastoral and ministry staff with counseling and shepherding matters
- Group classes and seminars that explain the dynamics of human psychology and spirituality from a Scriptural perspective, and that teach biblical solutions for repairing broken souls and relationships
- In-depth lay-counseling training of leaders, equipping them to respond with biblical wisdom to the everyday concerns of others
The counselors of FCF are trained individuals committed to Christian perspectives in dealing with emotional and spiritual health. We agree with the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation’s mission to “restore Christ to counseling, and counseling to the church”. The FCF counseling ministry exists to provide wise, biblical counsel to members in need.
The Spiritual Formation Ministry is directed by Kim Sutter, who serves as a part-time pastoral counselor on the FCF staff and who provides up to five hours per week of crisis intervention and short-term counseling for members of FCF to discuss any personal or spiritual issue. FCF does not provide mental health treatment, but rather care for the soul and help in applying the gospel to life.
If you're a member of FCF, you can meet with Kim, and your first counseling session is free! Follow-up sessions are available at a discounted rate, and financial assistance is available.
