FCF’s Outreach Philosophy

As a multicultural congregation, FCF is intentional about culturally sensitive outreach. We recognize that each society is composed of a variety of groups, or subcultures and that people receive the Gospel most readily when it is presented to them in culturally appropriate manner.

In our region of Baltimore, African Americans, European Americans, Asian Americans, bi- and multi-racial Americans and other nationalities exist, along with people from social classes categorized as middle-class, working-class and poor. All these groups exist within FCF.

We must not underestimate the importance of understanding these categories in reaching unbelievers for Christ. As Paul said, "I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew… to those not having the law, I become like one not having the law... to the weak I became weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some." 1 Corinthians 9:19-22

Therefore, FCF seeks to equip its members to effectively communicate the claims and love of Jesus Christ both cross-culturally and to people in their own cultures, the most natural of social networks.

The following are some of FCF's current outreach means and ministries:

• FCF's Outreach Philosophy
• Worship Hospitality
• Urban Young Life
• Discovery Seminar
• Local and Global Witness Seminar
